I'm the only person on the planet that has the opportunity to see everything and every event we do during the course of our 365 day format.....over 100 of them! I told the staff today that I see this as an honor and a privilege but also an obligation. How else can I effectively lead without first hand knowledge of seeing ,feeling,smelling, tasting and hearing the unique dynamics of each one of them! I love it!
I also take pride in being at the first event of the Summer Games, golf, on Friday am and shutting down the last basketball gym Sunday evening. "Bell to Bell baby!" It's not quite time to pass the torch.

The Grand Canyon State Games is a multi-sport Olympic Festival providing a showcase for the talents and aspirations for Arizona and America's youth regardless of age or ability and to share many of the great attributes of our state. In fact we have had a 3 year old come down the mountain in our Winter skiing event and a 99 year old gentleman throw the javelin in our Track & Field event. We truly have something for everyone.
