"My youngest daughter, Punk, had the idea to have a surprise 30th birthday party for my oldest daughter Jessica......in Las Vegas! She's a dancer.
The plan took a lot of effort especially on the part of Jessica's husband, Jamie. All in all we had 9 family members sneak in to Vegas on a Thursday night for Jess's show at 10:30. We met at the airport, went at Sam's Club to buy food for the weekend, and had dinner.
We arrived at Baileys for the longest running show in Vegas (27 years), Jubilee, just in time to take care of a ticket snafu and take our seats in the front row, stage center.
The anticipation grew as the lights went down and we rushed to put on our masks, hats , and prepared to hold up our happy birthday signs. The curtain went up and there was my beautiful Jess doing what she has always done best...DANCE! A tear came to my eye as she saw us all acting goofy with our costumes and signs. "Surprise!" It worked...we pulled it off!
Jess was on" cloud nine" all weekend. A very deserving person in her dads heart.
