"Overwhelming Obligation!"

The people who know me best are aware of how extremely proud I am to be an American. The Forth of July weekend was obviously a time to recognize the significance of "Independence Day"
and the true meaning of the celebration. As tradition has it, we head to California to hook up with all the relatives for family, food and fun. This year was no different.
Upon my return I realized that in two weeks we will present the Lori Piestewa National Native American Games...the largest event of its kind in the nation. Last year 69 tribes, 21 states, 119 cities,1910 athletes ages 6 to 78 participated. I adore Terry, Percy, Carla and Brandon and their willingness to grant permission to use Lori's name. Having said this, the words responsibility, humility, accountability, pride, and the likes come to mind. I promised the family many years ago I would do my very best to uphold the integrity of the honor.
Thus an "Overwhelming Obligation!"
