For the seventh year in a row we showed increased participation in The Lori Piestewa National Native American Games! 2,022! 79 basketball teams,34 softball teams,22 volleyball teams, 5 baseball teams and 70 cross country and track athletes!
Thanks to The Ft. McDowell Yavapai Nation, the Salt River Pima Tribe, The City of Fountain Hills, and the Fountain Hills School District for their hospitality. It was superb!
A special heartfelt thank you goes out to the Piestewa family. Terry, Percy, Brandon and Carla went "bell to bell!" Their presence cast a special feeling over the entire weekend event." Gosh I love those people!"

The Grand Canyon State Games is a multi-sport Olympic Festival providing a showcase for the talents and aspirations for Arizona and America's youth regardless of age or ability and to share many of the great attributes of our state. In fact we have had a 3 year old come down the mountain in our Winter skiing event and a 99 year old gentleman throw the javelin in our Track & Field event. We truly have something for everyone.
